Everyone Has a Story to Tell. What's Yours?
Do you need to refine or define your marketing message? Unless you have more customers than you can handle, the answer is probably "yes".
I can help you reach more potential customers by telling your story through web content, blogs, landing pages, articles, ghostwriting, product descriptions, direct mail, and more.
How does Refining, Defining, or Rhyming relate to your marketing efforts?
I think you may understand where I’m coming from and how I can help your business by telling you a little story:
As are all little kids, I was warned not to cross the road without parental supervision or I ran the risk of being hit by a car.
Nevertheless, my 3 ½ year old self, clad in cowboy boots and blue jeans, decided to cross the road from our Waco, Texas home. When admonished by my parents, I stuck a candy cigarette in my mouth and retorted, “I’m a cowboy riding my horse into the mountains to smoke my cigarette!” Of course, I was punished and sulked while I finished my candy cig.
My point? Well, I saw a valley of imagination across the street from me and donned a persona to refine my current landscape. I felt the need to define my world in a place that gave me independence.
That mindset has successfully carried me through life and spills over into my professional approach.
And the rhyming part? Well, that’s just something I do when the mood strikes me.
So, how does this story relate to you?
First and foremost, it's a reminder that there's a story that defines who you are today. Something that has propelled you to climb the mountain of your dreams: your business, your convictions, your beliefs, and what you have to share with the world.
Telling a story puts you above your competition.
You're not only a business owner with something to offer but a consumer as well. So ask yourself this question:
Who would you trust and want to buy from? The company that relates to you and provides solutions to the problems that brought you to their door in the first place? Or the one who simply states the technical aspects of their products or services with no regard for the emotional reasons behind the need?
Relate to your audience through compelling storytelling and your business will grow.
How Do I Go About Telling Your Story?
I get a feel for your business and your philosophy. I get to know you. If I can't do it in person, I'll do it over the phone or via Skype. Walk me around your store. I take the feel-good approach.
Face it, as consumers we're more apt to support a business that makes us feel good about our choices; one that reaches out to us as people.
Appeal to the heart and you've got a customer for life.
I want to help. Whether you're just starting out (defining) or you need to give your website and marketing material a facelift (refining), together we'll get the results you're after.

"Shauna did a great job of editing my eBook. She immensely improved the content without compromising my voice and she spotted a number of little issues that I wouldn't have caught otherwise. She was also very prompt and delivered earlier than I expected. It was such a pleasure working with Shauna and I will definitely work with her again."

"We had the opportunity to work with Shauna Bowling recently on a company newsletter. I found her to be extremely detail oriented along with having great communication skills. Though some writers specialize within a chosen field, I found her quick study approach to jump in and research and gather additional data remarkable. She crosses her t’s and dots her i’s. A real team player and wonderful new asset to our company agenda."
